Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

Program Outcomes

Students will demonstrate the ability to apply principles of chemistry, physics, calculus, and advanced mathematics to solve problems in thermal-fluids and mechanical systems areas.

Students will demonstrate a familiarity with statistics and linear algebra in understanding and applying uncertainty analysis and solving systems of algebraic equations of problems with relevance to mechanical engineering.

Students will demonstrate the ability to work professionally in both thermal and mechanical systems areas including the design and realization of such systems.

Students will demonstrate the ability to use contemporary methods and tools for (a) design of components and systems, (b) analysis, and (c) measurements, analysis and interpretation of data.

Students will demonstrate the ability to work in a diverse working environment, recognize economic and societal contexts, and communicate effectively.

Students will be able to apply their education experience to a wide career path.

Students will have an appreciation of professionalism, ethics, leadership, and globalization.
